Frequently Asked QuestionsHow Quickly do you ship orders?
We strive to ship not later than the next business day after the order is received. Generally, if an order is received prior to noon Central time, we ship the same day. We ship Monday thru Saturday.
What shipping methods do you use?
We primarily ship by US Post Office First Class Mail or Priority Mail for products that ship free. If you purchase less than our minimum for free shipping you may choose either First Class mail provided your order is under the 13oz. post office maximum or Priority Mail. That means that anywhere in the US you'll receive your order within 2 to 3 days from the day of shipping. We chose Priority Mail because your package will be delivered Monday thru Saturday without charging extra fees.
If you live in Canada we may ship by UPS Standard ground depending on your location.
How much do you charge for shipping?
All orders over $50 ship free - with few exceptions for extra heavy or items shipped directly from the manufacturer. Shipping is automatically calclulated based on the weight of the total order, we do not add any additional amount for handling. The amount displayed on the order is the amount we pay to the post office rounded to the nearest 10 cents. For orders under our minimum for free shipping, shoppers will be given the choice of USPS First Class mail for orders under 13 oz. shipping weight or Priority Mail.
On the checkout page you will find a shipping calculator which will give you our shipping charges.
Why do some of your products carry the USDA Organic seal and others do not?
Only products which are certified to be greater than 95% Organic by independent certification organizations may carry the USDA seal. Heavy fines are levied on producers and retailers if the seal is mis-used. "Certified Organic" means the item has been grown and processed according to strict uniform standards that are verified by USDA-accredited state or private certification organizations.
Certification includes inspections of farm fields and processing facilities, detailed record keeping, and periodic testing of soil and water to ensure that growers and handlers are meeting the government standards.
The levels of certification are as follows:
100% Organic
Organic
Made with Organic
Natural
